A woman was cut out of her car and rushed to hospital after a crash 'gridlocked' the M56.
Cheshire Police rushed to the M56 eastbound between junctions nine and 10 at around 2.45pm on Thursday, February 17, following reports of a three vehicle crash.
Once at the scene officers found a tipper truck, blue Nissan Qashqai and a van had crashed.

The tipper truck left the carriageway following the crash and ended up in a ditch.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene as a woman with injuries was trapped in the Nissan Qashqai.
The fire service removed the woman from the car after cutting of the Nissan's roof, and she was rushed to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service.
Cheshire police has confirmed nobody is believed to have life-changing or serious injuries.
After the crash National Highways and Cheshire Police completely closed the M56 eastbound for around two hours.
The road closure caused around 11 miles of queues between Stretton and Hapsford Interchange, near Ellesmere Port.
One lane of traffic was reopened at around 5pm but National Highways told motorists to expect delays until at least 9pm.
At 6.15pm motorists were still reporting traffic was at a 'standstill' and another said it took them over two hours to drive 30 miles.
A diversion is now in place and road users are advised to follow the 'hollow square diversion symbol' on road signs:
- Exit M56 at J10 and join the A49 northbound
- At the junction with the B5356, turn right and travel on the B5356
- At the B5356/A50 roundabout, take the second exit on to the A50
- At the M6 J20/A50 roundabout, join the M6 southbound and take the M56 eastbound entry slip road
