A woman was rushed to hospital after being cut from a car following a three car crash on a busy main road. Firefighters, police and the ambulance service were called to Chester Road, on the carriageway heading away from Manchester city centre and towards Trafford.
A woman had to be cut from a car following the collision, which occurred at about 2.20pm. She was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

The road has now been cleared, after the emergency services spent about an hour at the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 2.20pm today (Saturday, 20th May), firefighters were called to reports of a crash involving three vehicles on a roundabout at the junction of Chester Road and the Mancunian Way near Manchester city centre.
"Two fire engines from Manchester Central and Salford fire stations and the technical rescue unit from Ashton fire station quickly attended the scene. Firefighters extricated one woman from a car, who was then transferred to the care of the North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital.
"Firefighters were at the scene for around an hour."
