A woman claiming to be Madeline McCann is to appear on a major US television show watched by millions.

Julia Wendell, 21, has recorded her first high profile interview with TV host Dr Phil after sensationally claiming she might be the toddler who went missing in 2007 during a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal.

The Polish national is currently waiting for the results of three DNA samples and a genetic test.
