The woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann has said that going public with her news prompted alleged paedophiles to try and lure her to a hotel pretending to be the McCanns.
Julia Wendell, 21, from Poland, took the internet by storm in recent weeks, garnering over one million followers on Instagram after sharing "evidence" that would suggest she is the missing British girl.
Julia claims she cannot remember large parts of her childhood and says she was abused by a German paedophile who looks like someone listed as a suspect in Madeleine's 2007 disappearance in Portugal.
She has also shared images and videos that show she has a speck in her eye like Madeleine did - known as a coloboma.
Shortly after going public with her claims she said, via spokeswoman medium and private investigator Dr. Fia Johansson, that she was allegedly being targeted by “three paedophiles”.
Dr. Johansson said: ”It’s very dangerous for her to do anything right now because she has no idea what she is doing and at the same time her family is not very supportive.
“My investigators found out three paedophiles were trying to lure Julia to hotels saying they were McCann family friends trying to solve the Madeleine mystery – it is truly a sad situation”.
In a new update on her situation, which was posted overnight, she confirmed that she felt she was unsafe.
She wrote in an Instagram story post: “For people that ask If I am safe – yes, I am now but I was not four days ago.
“Fia and her team have a safe place and they are tracking down emails and other communications that I had even before I met Fia, so she is tracking media and their lies, too.
“You guys need to be careful about all trafficking approaches.
“I'm not three years or four years anymore.
“I will not allow you to touch me ever again, to use me ever again, to trick me ever again.
“Fia is and her team checking and tracking emails and DMs.
“Please STOP it”.
She also claimed that people were trying to come and “Pick me up in Germany” to “trick me”.
The woman has previously called on the woman who raised her to take a DNA test and has even offered to take one for the parents of Madeleine, Gerry, and Kate.
