A young woman has been left frustrated after she noticed her neighbour dumping leaves into her garden which she claims he does each year in Autumn. Maddy, who moved from Australia to London, said it is an annual problem of hers so she turned to TikTok for some advice and uploaded some sneaky footage of her rude neighbour to back up her claims.
The sped up clip shows her neighbour gathering the leaves from his garden and then putting them all in a binbag, the Daily Star reports. He then boldly dumps it over onto her side of the garden as Maddy shows the pile of leaves leaning by her fence.
She tells her followers: ''You guys, leafgate 2.0! He has dumped the leaves again into the yard'' before quickly leaning over to film her neighbour's 'spotless' garden. She goes on to rant about the 'outrageous' situation adding: "Not only is it rude as f*** but I just spoke to the council and they said it's illegal.
Some commenters suggested Maddy cut the tree down in her garden which the leaves are falling from but she only rents the property and her landlord did not give his permission to do so. Therefore, she decided to take action and took her 'negotiator' house mate Chris along with her for back up to confront their next door neighbour.
In a follow up TikTok clip, the pair nervously knocked on the man's door and Chris began to explain the situation to him. He said: "We are from the side house and basically just wondering it looks like you've been putting the leaves you've collected from your garden into ours."
The man can be heard politely denying: "Uh I haven't, there's been quite a bit of leaves falling but I haven't. I've been putting them in my waste bin, just got two new bags.
"There is branches and things like that from your tree, your ash tree and I just put them back over into your place." And Chris continued: "Okay because it's very strange - we've actually spoken to the council about this and like leaves and debris that fall down shouldn't actually put back into the neighbour's garden because that's just nature.
"And that tree has been there many, many years." The sincere man interrupted and then said: "I apologise completely."
The viewers were pleased for them as they resolved their conflict and congratulated Chris on handling the situation very respectfully. One added: "The man sounded very reasonable and gave a sincere apology, fairs."
