Woman catches Alaska Airlines seatmate delete Tinder, Snapchat, and texts with ‘Carly’ right before landing: ‘He sat in front of the wrong FBI girly’

When you’re in a relationship, the only thing worse than being cheated on is not knowing that it’s happening. Empathizing with this feeling means that if you witness a friend’s partner doing something suspicious, you’d likely let them know.

But what if you witnessed behavior that suggested cheating by a stranger on a flight? One woman recently decided to call it out on TikTok, where her video went viral with over 495,900 views.

What Did She See on a Stranger’s Phone During the Flight?

TikTok creator Daniella (@daniella.your.bff) shared a short clip warning a stranger about their potential partner’s behavior.

She filmed herself looking off to the side while a flight announcement played in the background.

“If your man was on Alaska flight 3439 (blue UCSB hoodie),” she wrote in the video’s text overlay, “he literally deleted his Tinder, Snapchat & cleared an entire text thread with a girl named Carly as soon as we started descending.”

She added in the caption, “He sat in front of the wrong FBI girly.”

Commenters Support Her Mission

In the comments, most users encouraged Daniella, while a few raised privacy concerns.

“Here Queen you dropped this [crown],” wrote one user.

Another user shared a “snooping” tip, writing, “Helpful hint: you can look at battery use, and it will show deleted app use.”

“My husband hasn’t been on a plane in two years and im about to wake him up and ask him who carly is,” joked a third.

“Hoping this finds the right person!!!” a fourth commenter said.

A few others, however, questioned Daniella’s actions. “Why are you reading strangers texts??” one asked.

Is the Video Legitimate?

A few people in the comments pointed out that another TikTok user had possibly posted about the same “blue hoodie” stranger. It’s a nearly identical video TikTok account @theteapartygirl posted, in which a man references the same Alaska flight, number 3439.

Meanwhile, another similar video went viral late last year, in which the creator took it a step further and actually filmed the man’s face. In that case, more viewers raised concerns about privacy, with some suggesting the man could potentially pursue legal action for defamation.

The number of similar videos circulating online raises questions about how genuine these encounters really are. While there’s no clear proof either way, the identical scenarios may suggest that at least some of these videos are fictional or created for entertainment purposes only.
