Woman carrying on grandad's legacy after 'bookcase got her hooked'

A Woolton woman opened up her business after having her interest in antiques sparked as a child.

Growing up Lindsay Hudson would go out with her dad, Jack Driver, whilst he was working as a plumber. The 56-year-old, originally from Huddersfield, recalled “going everywhere and anywhere” with him on jobs and would often find herself in spaces that needed to be cleared of trash.

What others assumed was rubbish, Lindsay thought of as unique. She would be fascinated by the “antique” items and would later discover her grandad was an upholsterer with a shop in Nottingham.
