A woman has become the first person to be awarded compensation over a Covid-19 vaccine after her fiancé tragically died from rare complications of the AstraZeneca jab.
Vikki Spit lost her husband-to-be Zion after he fell ill on May 13 last year, just eight days after his vaccine appointment.
Despite the the window for a blood clot being 4 to 28 days post-vaccination, Vikki said paramedics did not make the link between the 48-year-old's headache and his recent dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
