A woman has been arrested during a raid targeting drug gang activity in Co Kildare.
The search carried out by gardai and Revenue led to the discovery of 3.5kg of herbal cannabis. According to gardai it has a value of around €70k.
The woman in her 40s is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kildare Garda Station. Investigations in the discovery are still underway.

The property was searched under warrant as part of Operation Tara. It's the national anti-drugs society that was launched in July 2021 and targets drug activity across the country.
A garda spokesman said: "As part of Operation Tara, an intelligence led operation targeting those involved in organised criminal activity in the Kildare area was conducted by personnel attached to Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and the Kildare Divisional Drug Unit.
"In the course of the operation a premises was searched under warrant in Kildare where approximately 3.5 kilograms of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €70,000 (analysis pending) was seized. A woman aged in her 40s was arrested by investigating Gardaí and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kildare Garda Station."
