A woman has been arrested after a building collapsed when a car smashed into it in Ashton-under-Lyne.
Emergency services descended on Canterbury Street at 6.45pm after a car crashed into the corner of the property. Extraordinary images show the rubble that has collapsed onto the vehicle, with a gaping hole in the side of the building.
The female driver of the car was able to free herself from the vehicle and was treated at the scene by paramedics. She has since been arrested by police on suspicion of drink driving.
