A woman has been arrested after specialist police officers smashed their way into a house in south Manchester and uncovered a suspected cannabis farm.
Tactical Aid Unit officers raided the property in the Burnage area in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday). They had 'received information' through independent charity Crimestoppers about a suspected cannabis farm.
A 43-year-old woman was arrested at the house, police said. She has been taken into custody for questioning.

Pictures posted about the incident on a local GMP Facebook page this afternoon showed a large number of cannabis plants in a ventilated room. Another picture showed a woman being led into a police van by an officer.
In the Facebook post, an officer wrote: "#ARREST | A warrant took place this morning (Tuesday 7 March 2023) in Burnage after receiving information through Crimestoppers about a suspected cannabis farm. Neighbourhood officers along with GMP’s specialist Tactical Aid Unit carried out the warrant and arrested a 43-year-old woman at the property, who is now in custody for questioning.
"GMP are taking a tough stance against the use of illegal drugs and will continue to act on information to make sure the community is kept safe alongside fighting, preventing and reducing crime."
