A woman has been left furious after her neighbours decided to build a fence despite her rejecting their proposal to split the cost. She claims that she was initially consulted over the £3,000 charge but rejected the plan as she does not have the money.
The Mirror reports that the woman explained in a post on the forum Mumsnet that a new house had been built at the bottom of her garden a few years ago. The owners had previously gone 50/50 with another neighbour on a fence and asked if she would help pay for a new section to screen off their driveway.
According to the Mirror, she rejected the plans citing the financial cost and because they refused to show her the invoices. In the post she said: "A new home was built a couple of years ago at the end of our garden - on the grounds of a much bigger house. The owner has built a horrible Footballer's House-style mansion there.
