A woman was arrested after a Mini ploughed into grave stones at a Wirral cemetery.
Emergency services were called to Landican Cemetery, on Arrowe Park Road, shortly before 9pm on Thursday. When they arrived at the scene, a Mini Country Man was reportedly found flipped onto its roof.
Paramedics and fire crews managed to free the driver from the car as police cordoned off the cemetery. It is not clear if the female driver was injured in the crash.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police later confirmed that a 70-year-old woman was arrested over the crash. The pensioner, from Wirral, was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of drink driving.
In a statement, the force said: "We have arrested a woman on suspicion of drink driving following a road traffic collision on Arrowe Park Road this evening (Thursday 14 April). At around 8.45pm we received a report that a that a white Mini Country Man drove into several grave stones at Landican Cemetery."
"Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended and safely removed the driver from the vehicle. A 70-year-old woman from Wirral was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
"She has been taken into custody for questioning."
Witness and forensic enquiries are ongoing at the seen and in the area. Anyone who has information is asked to contact Merseyside Police.
