Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted in the Southmead area of Bristol.
The 68-year-old was attacked while she was on her way to visit a patient at Southmead Hospital on Sunday, April 3. The woman was leaving the number 2 bus at around noon when she was attacked by another woman.
Avon and Somerset Police said the attacker was arguing with the bus driver when the victim, who made a comment to the driver, exited the bus on Southmead Road, opposite Westbury Dental Care and near the Bear and Rugged Staff Pub. The woman then followed the victim and assaulted her, which left her "upset and distressed," according to a police spokesperson.
