A 28-year-old woman died in a head-on crash when her car strayed onto the wrong side of the road as she was eating KFC on her way to work. Anna Ledgar was driving her Seat Leon shortly before 1pm after leaving a KFC drive-thru with a food order.
An inquest heard her car drifted or swerved over the central white line into the path of an oncoming taxi. The taxi driver, who was seriously injured, recalled a ‘massive bang’.
“The collision happened on my side of the road and I had no chance at all to take evasive action,” he said. Other motorists came to both drivers’ aid and called 999. They found Anna unresponsive in the driver’s seat, reports StokeonTrentLive.
