A woman killed in a horror car crash was a "beautiful angel", heartbroken friends have said.
The 24-year-old was named locally as Shannon Hunt, who was pronounced dead at the scene after the smash in Scunthorpe, at 9.25pm last Friday
Humberside Police said that a silver Audi A4 convertible left the road and collided with trees and they have launched an investigation, reported GrimsbyLive.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and three other people in the car suffered serious injuries.
Many tributes have been left at the scene.
One floral tribute read: "Rest in peace Shan. Be with your mum and dad. Thinking of the family."
Friends also posted tributes online with people calling her an "angel".
One said: "Rest in peace Shannon. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. You will be so deeply missed baby girl."
Another posted: "Hearing you have grown your angel wings at such a young age is devastating. Fly high beautiful. Rest in paradise girl. The memories will always be remembered and you'll be missed by many."
Humberside Police released a statement confirming the fatality and appealed for information from anyone who has dashcam footage from the moments leading up to the collision.
They are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a red Nissan which was seen in the area at the time.
A police statement read: "Following further lines of enquiry to identify a witness driving a light-coloured vehicle, officers are now particularly keen to speak to the driver of what they believe to be of red Nissan Micra which is thought to have seen the Audi just before the collision."
Crash investigators will be preparing a report for the Lincolnshire coroner and trained officers will be supporting the woman's family.
A police spokesman said: "A 24-year-old woman was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. The three other occupants of the car were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.
"We would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage from the area at the time. Please call 101 quoting log 630 of 17 June."
