A young woman has been left with serious injuries following a crash on a major road on the edge of Manchester city centre.
Police were called to the smash involving two cars in Cheetham Hill Road at about 5.20am today (Saturday). The incident happened near to the junction with Trinity Way.
A 20-year-old woman was cut from one of the vehicles by firefighters. She was then taken to hospital with what police describe as "potentially life-changing injuries".
