Manchester United will be looking leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur on New Year's Eve to a Champions League spot as they travel to face a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who are starting life under new boss Julen Lopetegui. Erik ten Hag's side sit fifth in the Premier League table with a point behind Spurs who sit in fourth and 11 points behind league leaders Arsenal.
The Red Devils are the favourites ahead of the match with Betfred at 9/10 while Wolves are 16/5 to pick up their first home against United since 2019 while a draw is 5/2. United have not lost their final league game in any of the last 10 calendar years with seven wins and three draws since losing 3-2 to Blackburn Rovers in 2011 - their only Premier League defeat on New Year's Eve.
The hosts picked up their first league win in six matches and on Lopetegui's Premier League debut too as the side climb from the bottom of the table and now find themselves a point from safety going into the match on New Year's Eve. They face a difficult January with away trips to Aston Villa and Manchester City as well as a home clash with West Ham United.
