Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has admitted he is unhappy with the fixture scheduling of his side's clash with Liverpool.
The Reds take on Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday night. It sees Liverpool take a break from top flight action, as they look to launch a defence of the competition they won last season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side go into the game this weekend on the back of a dismal 3-1 defeat to Brentford in the Premier League on Monday night. Wolves were forced to settle for a point in their clash with Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

And Lopetegui, who has only been manager of Wolves for a couple of months, is unhappy with the scheduling of this weekend’s fixture. The Spaniard has expressed his irritation at Liverpool being handed two extra days to prepare for the FA Cup tie on Saturday night.
“I don’t understand how we play in one competition with two days less than the opponent,” said Lopetegui on Wednesday night.
“Maybe one day it can happen but two days it is a lot. It is a big difference for us.
“They have two days more for recovery. I am sorry but I just don’t understand this. I don’t know why we now will have to play five games in 15 days.”
