Fans of former Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas will be happy to know their onetime King in the Fourth is back in the league he loves so much. ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Charlotte Hornets are signing Thomas to a 10-day deal.
IT has been playing in the G League with the Denver Nuggets’ affiliate at that level, the Grand City Gold, under fellow Celtics backcourt alumnus Jason Terry, who is the head coach of Grand City. There. Thomas has been registering some absurd stat lines with the Gold, putting up a ridiculous average of 41.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game while shooting 52.1% from the field and 42.5% from deep over the three games he’s played in the G League this season.
Thomas will reunite with another Celtics alumnus from his past with the Hornets, where he will play alongside Terry Rozier.

He will also of course play with Gordon Hayward, who he did not get a chance to with Boston, having been dealt to the Cleveland Cavaliers before having a chance to share a court together as Celtics.
