A Wizz Air 'ghost flight' has left a family-of-five stranded in Italy for days after it took off without them. The dad, who does not wish to be named, vows to never fly with the airline again after a series of alleged errors has meant his family are missing out on work and school.
The dad-of-three said Wizz Air delayed their flight home from Catania-Fontanarossa Airport to Gatwick several times, before cancelling the flight altogether at 1am on April 18. The flight was rescheduled for the following day but left without them, with the dad claiming the departure gate never came up on the terminal screens and there were no calls for the flight.
The family discovered the 'ghost flight' had left without them, forcing them to have to wait days for the next available plane, reports The Mirror.
