With no DeAndre Hopkins, Cardinals WR corps tumble in PFF rankings

The Arizona Cardinals have many questions all over the roster. One is how the wide receiver group will fare this coming season with no more DeAndre Hopkins. The Cardinals released Hopkins at the end of May.

With Hopkins, Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore, that is a nice receiver group with a varied skill set.

But without Hopkins, they are near the bottom of Pro Football Focus’ receiving corps rankings.

The Cardinals rank 28th.

The Cardinals have it tough right now — they are without Kyler Murray due to injury, and now they are without DeAndre Hopkins. The top of their depth chart features Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore and Greg Dortch, making up one of the smaller receiver rooms (if not the smallest) in the league. It’s hard to really boast this group, but if you do, it will be on the basis of dynamic after-the-catch ability.

The trio of Brown, Moore and Dortch is lacking in size (all ar under 5-foot-10). The addition of Zach Pascal and third-round pick Michael Wilson will help that, but it is completely reasonable for the group to be viewed nationally as weak.

Based on how the rest of the offseason has gone for the Cardinals in lists and rankings, perhaps we should be celebrating the fact they are ranked ahead of multiple teams in something.
