Lanarkshire man who left teen girl with two six-inch scars on neck faces jail

A man slashed a 17-year-old girl on the neck with a knife after a disturbance in Wishaw led to his pregnant neighbour being taken to hospital.

First offender Paul Gillies was furious that the neighbour's window had been smashed, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard this week.

He attacked the girl who was taken to hospital with cuts to her neck and will have permanent scarring.
