Hidden away in a small woodland in Wirral is a peaceful fairy garden that’s keeping families connected.
Off the Wirral Way walking path in Neston is a fairy garden full of tiny fairies, carved trees, wooden houses and more.
Neston Fairy Wood has been created by the council and the local community and contains five types of fairies - Water, Earth, Air, Light and Spirit.

Families are invited to walk around the garden to try and find the different types of fairies and spot other creatures hiding in the woodland.
There’s more to see than just fairies, though, as Neston Fairy Wood is home to other pretty painted objects lovingly created by the local community.
From a group of giant ladybugs trying to cross the path, to a wooden dog digging in the ground, there's something to bring a smile to everyone's faces.
You can also see the work of renowned tree carving artist Simon O'Rourke who was commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council in conjunction with Friends of Lees Lane Ponds to carve fairies from trees which have been felled due to disease.
The woodland contains a variety of trees, including Ash, Hawthorne, Sycamore and Elm. Some of the magical fairies and animals are hidden in them, so remember to look up as you walk around.
Neston Fairy Wood also has a selection of games for families to play, including wooden blocks, a ramp with wooden toy cars and a zip wire to send fairies flying down.
Families are encouraged to paint or make their own creations to add to the fairy garden and keep the tradition alive, so if you plan on visiting, why not take something to add?
Whether it's a painted pebble or a little fairy statue, it's bound to put a smile on other families' faces.
Neston Fairy Wood can be found off the Wirral Way in Neston near Lees Lane Ponds.
Dogs are welcome in the garden, but they must be kept on a lead.
