Wirral recorded almost 500 fewer new covid cases than the previous week.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, Wirral recorded 2,610 infections in the seven days ending February 3 - that's 492 fewer positive tests than the previous week.

So, Wirral's week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 16%.
Every area of the city region saw drops in covid cases.
The falls were: 30% in Knowsley; 19% in Liverpool; 15% in Halton; 21% in St Helens; 20% in Sefton.
It is the twenty-eighth day in a row that infections have fallen in the six local government areas of the city region.
The Liverpool City Region's week-on-week percentage change figure dropped by 19%.
Warrington, and Cheshire West and Chester, and West Lancashire all recorded drops in infections in the week ending February 3. England had a fall of 17%.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 3,012 cases in the week ending February 3, which is 702 fewer cases than the previous week.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 19%.
The latest infection rate was 601.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 2,610 cases in the week ending February 3, which is 492 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 16%.
The latest infection rate was 804.7 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 1,034 positive tests over the last week - that's 182 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 15% in Halton in the week ending February 3.
The latest infection rate is 796.9 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 1,084 cases in the week ending February 3, which is 285 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in St Helens is 598.6 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 21%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 825 cases in the week ending February 3, which is 358 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 541.2 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 30%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 1,719 cases in the week ending February 3, which is a 422 fewer cases than in the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 623.1 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases dropped by 20% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 10,284 positive tests over in the week ending February 3, which is 2,441 fewer cases than in the previous week.
This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 19%. The latest infection rate is 603.97 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 1,479 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 3, which is 268 fewer cases than the previous week.
The week-on-week percentage figure fell by 15%. There was an infection rate of 706.31 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
West Lancashire recorded 852 coronavirus cases in the week ending February 3, which is 178 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 17%. The infection rate was 744.13 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 3,077 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 3, which is 768 fewer cases than the previous week.
The latest infection rate is 894.94 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage dropped by 20% in cases.
England
In the week ending February 3, England recorded 511,504 coronavirus cases, which is 107,544 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
There was a week-on-week percentage fall of 17% in cases in England, and there was an infection rate of 904.51 per 100,000 people.
