Wirral Council has secured up to £1m to improve family support services in the borough.
Wirral is one of just 12 areas to have been given the money under the government’s Family Hubs Transformation Fund. The funding will be used to support the authority with the costs of moving to a ‘family hubs model’.
This will direct those in need to early help, public health, and wider support services, something which is crucial to improving access, as well as connections between families and professionals capable of helping them.
