Beautiful places can look even more magical in winter. Heading out for a walk on a crisp, wintry day can be a hugely enjoyable experience - as long as you wrap up warm.
It's even more pleasant when you've got a hot drink in hand and a bite to eat to keep you fuelled. Now you might not necessarily want to stop and sit on your walk, but there are plenty of places where you can grab takeaway food and drink while on your walk.
Below is a round-up of stunning walks around Bristol which have cafés on the route you can use as a pit-stop.

The Harbourside
We are blessed to have such a stunning harbour in Bristol and it's come a long way in recent years.
No matter what the weather is, a stroll around the harbour is always enjoyable, with continuous nice views and the chance to spot a wide range of different boats.
You could either pick up a bite to eat and drink from one of the many restaurants at Cargo, or head a bit further down towards Brunel's Buttery for a hot drink and a huge sausage sandwich.
Sipping on mulled wine as you take in the sights is a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
Ashton Court
Ashton Court is one of the most popular green spaces in Bristol and for good reason.
The sloping hills provide excellent views of the city in the distance and it's always good fun spotting deer.
Next to Ashton Court Mansion there is a little café serving takeaway food and drinks, with teas, coffees, hot chocolate and snacks available.
Brandon Hill
Home to Cabot Tower, which offers some of the best views across Bristol, Brandon Hill is a wonderful city centre park worth visiting all-year round.
Even without climbing to the top of the tower - which is closed for now because of the pandemic - you're treated to a lovely vista of the city.
The steep green space is within walking distance of the cafes and restaurants of Park Street, including Mrs Potts Chocolate House, which serves arguably the best hot chocolate anywhere in Bristol.
Leigh Woods
It's very easy to get lost in Leigh Woods if you've only been a couple of times, and that's part of its beauty.
A trip to the National Nature Reserve can be just what the doctor ordered if you're looking to escape city life for a while, and it's popular with both people on foot and on wheels thanks to its mountain bike trails.
If you're looking for a bite to eat, the Leigh Woods Coffee Co is on hand to keep you fuelled as you explore the woodland.
Blaise Castle
Blaise Castle is another hotspot for people of all ages, home to an expanse of woodland to explore along with a castle built in 1766 and a mansion.
There's a café at the Kings Weston Road entrance to the estate, which offers a selection of light bites and hot and cold drinks.
Snuff Mills
Oldbury Court is a beautiful and diverse estate, combining woodland and riverside paths with historic parkland and excellent children's play facilities.
Only three miles from the city centre, the estate is a great place for a family day out with its big green spaces and picnic areas, and is popular with walkers for its varied landscape and panoramic views.
You can choose from a selection of hot drinks and snacks from the Chalet Tea Garden, located at the entrance to the estate, which also sells lollies - although they're more suited to the warmer months.
Park Street
You don't always have to head into green space for your walk.
With the Wills Memorial building sitting at the top of the road, Park Street is attractive all-year round.
But in December it really comes into its own thanks to the lights hanging between between which twinkle.
Quite a few cafés along the street are offering takeaway drinks and food.
