Love Island has announced Anna-May Robey as the latest cast member for the 2023 winter series. The payroll administrator from Swansea will be part of the original line-up when the show starts on Monday, January 16.
So far, Anna-May will be joined by student and influencer Tanya Manhenga, science and PE teacher Kai Fagan, makeup artist Lana Jenkins and financial advisor Ron Hall. You can see the Love Island line-up in full here.
Speaking about why she has joined the ninth series, which will be the second winter edition of the show, Anna-May said: "I want a boyfriend, I want to find someone who makes me laugh. I've been single for quite a while, my mother is bugging me, she's like, 'You need to find a boyfriend.' I'm just excited to try something new and I think going on Love Island is a good way to meet someone."

Anna-May also opened up on her worst dating experience, explaining her match had fallen asleep at the table. She explained: "I went on a date once and I never saw him again. We went for food and shared a bottle of wine. As I was speaking to him he fell asleep! I had to clink his wine glass to wake him up."
Anna-May says her friends and family would describe her as "energetic" and a "chatterbox." She explained: "I'm always running around singing and screaming.
"My parents are always like, 'Shut up!' I work from home all day so I don't really speak to people in person for two or three days a week, so when my father comes home, he'll want to sit down and chill out, and I'm there chewing his ear off! I would definitely say I am a chatterbox."
The new series of Love Island starts on Monday, January 16 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. The winter edition of the show will once again take place in South Africa with Maya Jama taking over presenting duties from Laura Whitmore. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
