Adelaide's rejuvenated defender Billy Frampton admits some surprise at his AFL club's rapid development.
The Crows hold 10th spot with three wins in the past four weeks, the latest a one-point triumph against the Western Bulldogs in Ballarat.
"It has been a pretty good start for us," Frampton told reporters on Tuesday.
"Obviously we have still got a bit to work on in with how we want to play but you definitely take three-and-three and build from here.
"Pleasantly surprised from my end.
"But the way we play and the way we training, it has given us a lot of belief that we should be around the mark."
The Crows host GWS on Saturday, having taken great heart from rallying from behind late against the Dogs and Richmond to bank consecutive wins.
"It's something to definitely be proud of, the way we can wrestle back that momentum," Frampton said.
"They're good sides and they come at you and in the past couple of years we may have rolled over.
"But the way we fought back ... it gives us a lot of confidence.
"A lot of belief as well that our game plan works and when we play the roles that we have to play individually, it comes collectively together and we get the result we need."
The 25-year-old has been an Adelaide success story in the past month, relishing a switch from attack to defence.
But Frampton, who has played just 22 games in eight seasons in the AFL system, is yet to feel safe at selection.
"I have never been in that boat," he said.
"Each game I play, I always feel like I am on the edge so I always have something to prove every time.
"Never want to give up the spot, it has been a while for me to get here.
"It's tough. There's always a lot of players in my position across every club ... you are always fighting hard and it gets a little bit disheartening at times.
"But what I have learned is just stay in the moment ... I haven't played many games in eight years in the system so every time I get out there it's a bit of a treat and just love it."
