Rosé is the perfect shade of wine for the summer months so retailer Majestic has scientifically calculated the exact ambient temperature when drinkers should enjoy this popular tipple to enjoy under the sun. With sales reaching their peak over sunnier periods, Majestic has discovered that 26C is the optimum heat to bring out a bottle.
Majestic was able to pinpoint the exact moment in the year where rosé sales reached their peak by analysing previous years' performance. From May 26 to June 1, 2020, temperatures in the UK soared above 26C and this was the period when more than 172,000 bottles flew off the Majestic shelves.
Made to be chilled, rosé has become synonymous with summer given its refreshing aftertaste, light fruity aromas and recent trend of Frozé (frozen rosé). With the warm weather expected to continue, Majestic has prepared a host of pink options:
M De Minuty Rosé (13% ABV) £12.99 Mix Six / £14.99 per bottle - This pale rosé is today the benchmark for this specific shade of herbal and refreshing Provence pink. You can expect a fresh taste of white peach and grapefruit.
