It's crunch time, folks. There is now only two weeks to go before Microsoft pulls the plug on Windows 10, meaning from October 14, the decade old OS will no longer be updated with important security updates unless you take the necessary steps to remain secure on the platform. Without security updates, you will be at risk from vulnerabilities that are discovered in the OS after October 14.
Luckily, Microsoft isn't leaving Windows 10 users out in the lurch. The company has launched a new "Extended Security Updates" (ESU) program, which allows users to opt-in to an additional year of security updates. Other alternatives include moving to Windows 11 if your PC supports it, or moving away from Windows entirely.
