The 2022 Sound of Belfast programme, incorporating the NI Music Prize 2022 will be reverberating around Belfast from 10th -20th November.
Now in its 9th year, this annual celebration, dedicated to the sounds of the city is in recognition of new and outstanding musical talent from Northern Ireland.
It is powered through a blend of partnership, collaboration and independent shows with over 40 events across 12 venues incorporating multiple genres and styles of music. Highlighting the great live music scene and living up to Belfast’s UNESCO City of Music status.
The annual NI Music Prize on 16th November at the Ulster Hall, is to be broadcast live on BBC Radio Ulster and will see a Special Horslips performance from Legend recipient Barry Devlin with Jim Lockhart, Ray Fean and Fiach Moriarty.

The awards celebrate and promote the rich and diverse homegrown, world-class music of Belfast and Northern Ireland with presentations on the night including the Oh Yeah Legend Award, Outstanding Contribution To Music, Album of The Year, Single of The Year, Video of The Year, Live Act of The Year and ATL Artist Of The Year in association with BBC Introducing.
