The 2022 Wimbledon Championships is finally here and there is much excitement and anticipation for the tournament as it welcomes its first full-capacity crowd since 2019, with a star-studded lineup getting things underway on day one.
Men’s reigning champion Novak Djokovic will look to retain his title from last year by getting off to the perfect start on Monday, while Andy Murray will hope to take advantage of playing on home soil. Elsewhere, Emma Raducanu will be eager to continue her remarkable rise.

What time does Wimbledon Day 1 start?
Wimbledon Day 1 begins at 11am on Monday, June 27 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London.
The First Day of the Gentleman’s Single and Ladies’ Singles First Round will take place, with matches beginning at 11am on No. 2 Court, No. 3 Court and Court’s 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.
The schedule will continue at 1pm on No.1 Court, with the final round of games beginning at 1:30pm on Centre Court.
How to watch
The whole tournament will be televised live on BBC One, BBC Two, and BBC iPlayer daily from 11am.
Alternatively, there are also up to 18 courts to choose from on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.
