Wimbledon expansion plans get major High Court boost

Wimbledon has received a huge boost to its plans for expansion, with a High Court judge ruling that plans to triple the size of the site are not prohibited by land-use rules.

The All England Club's proposals, approved by the Greater London Authority (GLA) in 2024, had been challenged by a campaign group over restrictions on how the land earmarked for development could be used.
