A Wiltshire accountancy firm is set to expand with the opening of its third office in the county.
Gooding Accounts, which serves more than 2,500 clients, has launched in Melksham, adding to its practices in Westbury and Warminster.
BusinessLive understands the move has already created three new jobs within the firm, which plans to at least double the number of staff in Melksham within the next 12-18 months, bolstering its total workforce of around 35 people.
The new office, located at Bay Tree Barn in Lower Woodrow, will be headed up by experienced accountant Eliza-Jane Stalker, who brings over a decade’s worth of financial experience.
Ms Stalker will be joined by the company’s chief financial officer Sherelyn Cowles, administration team lead Cerise Richardson, and junior accountant Ritchie McFadzean.
Ms Stalker said: “As a team, we all care deeply about transforming perceptions of the accountancy profession by leading by example.
“Our customers love our refreshing approach to business and how we use technology to make their lives easier, and we look forward to having the opportunity to directly support many great individuals and businesses across the Melksham area.”
Founded in 2014 by accountancy director Sam Gooding, the company said it had grown from “strength-to-strength” in recent years, having provided more than 350 new start-ups with specialist support service,
The firm also supports a number of local organisations including Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Dorothy House Hospice Care and Wiltshire Mind through regular fundraising initiatives, while it is also a sponsor of Melksham Town FC.
Mr Gooding said: “We’re a very proud Wiltshire-based, people-first business, and the local community is central to everything that we do.
“Our mission, since day one, has been to empower others to embrace their futures; whether that’s working with sole traders, small limited companies or much more established firms with an international footprint, our goal as a team is always the same: to help our clients to get to where they want to go - both professionally and personally - via sound, practical and trusted financial support.”
