Aberdeen legend Willie Miller believes "serious discussions" will have to take place between manager Jim Goodwin and chairman Dave Cormack after the Scottish Cup defeat to Darvel.
The West of Scotland League Premier Division champions dumped the Dons out the cup at the fourth round stage thanks to a 19th minute goal from Jordan Kirkpatrick. It is one of the biggest shocks in the history of the competition and many Aberdeen fans are calling fro Goodwin to be shown the door.
Pressure had piled on Goodwin after the 5-0 defeat by Hearts at Tynecastle last Wednesday night and it will be difficult for the Irishman to survive this humiliation. Miller reckons Dave Cormack, who was at the game tonight, will have to make a "difficult decision" following the defeat to the junior side. Speaking about the chairman, Miller told Sportscene: "It's a really difficult situation that he Dave Cormack finds himself in.
"It's a huge decision for him. I think Jim Goodwin and the chairman will have to have serious discussions. I don't know if there's enough good will from the chairman to allow Goodwin to stay.
"It’s a difficult, difficult decision for the club there is no doubt about that. The decision will have to be made one way or the other. The fans are certainly not happy."
