With few driver vacancies set to come up by the end of this year, credible 'Silly Season' rumours have been thin on the ground.
Just as transfer windows get football supporters excited, the prospect of several different Formula 1 drivers swapping colours is always going to be one which captures the interest of fans.
This year, there isn't a great deal to talk about though. Lewis Hamilton still hasn't signed his new Mercedes deal, but something remarkable would have to happen for him to drive anything other than a Silver Arrow next year, alongside George Russell.
That driver line-up looks set in stone, as do those at the other top teams. Fernando Alonso wants to keep racing and Lance Stroll's seat is safe at Aston Martin. Ferrari have Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz tied down to at least another year.
Sergio Perez has hit a rough patch and there is plenty of speculation, but it's hard to see Christian Horner making a U-turn on his constant assertions that he too will at least see out his current contract. Max Verstappen has just the five more seasons after this to go on his Red Bull deal.
The McLaren and Alpine lineups look set for a long while. Alfa Romeo and Haas have decisions to make but, at this moment in time, seem unlikely to make any driver changes. As for AlphaTauri, Yuki Tsunoda will almost certainly get and extension, while Nyck de Vries could be replaced long before the end of the year.
That leaves only Williams' situation left to look at. Alex Albon has a multi-year contract and is in the best form of his spell with the team so far, which leaves his rookie team-mate Logan Sargeant.
His arrival in F1 was much heralded as the first American in 15 years to hold a full-time race seat. The learning curve has been tough, though, and he remains one of just two drivers yet to score a point this season – the other being De Vries.
Hence, the recent speculation that the team might turn to Mick Schumacher. There has been much talk about his future, given he lost his Haas seat last year and is now a reserve for Mercedes while he figures out how he is going to get back onto the grid.
On paper at least, the links make sense. Williams is a Mercedes engine customer with close ties to the Silver Arrows – strengthened this year by the hiring of stalwart race strategist James Vowles as their team principal.

However, as it stands, Williams are not considering Schumacher for one of their race seats. Nor are they considering any other driver, because Sargeant's development is their priority and only current course of action in that regard.
Williams don't plan to axe Sargeant despite the Floridian having not yet scored a championship point. It would be incredibly harsh for them to do so, given he was supposed to still be in Formula 2 this year to develop for another season before being given his shot.
A short-term move for Oscar Piastri collapsed when he left Alpine for McLaren and then De Vries chose AlphaTauri instead of Williams. It was only then that they decided to call the American up a year earlier than planned, and so that deviation in his development process has to – and will be – taken into account.
As we head into the summer break and towards the business end of the campaign, some bona fide 'Silly Season' stories may yet emerge. But, right now, any claims linking Schumacher or another driver with Sargeant's seat should be taken with a tablespoon of salt.
