Arsenal defender William Saliba has dropped a hint on whether or not he will sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium. The 21-year-old, who sees his current deal with Arsenal expire in 2024, has enjoyed a great start to the season, guiding Mikel Arteta's to top of the Premier League.
The centre-half has featured seven times for the Gunners so far this season, helping the north Londoners concede just seven in the meantime. Saliba's dominating displays have, once again, courted the attention of France national team boss Didier Deschamps.
He has already earned five caps for his country after having impressed at Marseille, where he was on loan last season. As his reputation grows as one of the world's best young defenders with just two years remaining on his current deal, increasing doubt has been cast over his future at London Colney.

But, following Saliba's latest admission during the international break, a hint has been dropped as to whether he extends his tenure at the club. Speaking to Sky Sports, the Frenchman admitted that London is his 'home' and 'likes' Arsenal.
"Yes, for sure," he said, when asked if he feels at home. "I'm at home here. I like London, I like the club, I like everything. I feel at home here."
This obviously comes as a major boost for Arsenal, who continue to reap the rewards of investing time into the youngster. In the final game before the international break, Saliba scored as he the Gunners beat Brentford 3-0 to retain their place at the top of the Premier League.
He earned plenty of praise from Arteta post-match, with the Arsenal boss revealing why his performance was even more impressive than it first looked to the Gunners fans watching. The Spaniard said: "He was superb.
"He hasn’t trained for 10 days because he had some discomfort, but he comes in and competes like that. Not only the goal and his defending but he does the ugly part of the game that people won’t recognise. He deserves credit."
