William Saliba can celebrate being handed his dream shirt number after committing his future to Arsenal.
As reported by football.london on Thursday, the France international has put pen-to-paper on a new four-year contract, thus keeping him in north London until 2027 at the latest and there was an announcement with regard to the deal via the club's official website and social media channels around 24 hours later.
Not only has it been confirmed that Saliba is staying at Arsenal for the foreseeable future, but he will also follow in the footsteps of compatriots Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby by wearing No.2 on the back of his shirt from next season onwards having now switched from No.12.
