William Pacho Rangers transfer link emerges with 'several visits' to watch Royal Antwerp star

William Pacho is reportedly attracting interest from Rangers - but they face competition from Ligue 1 giants Monaco for the Royal Antwerp star.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a stunning rise since his move to Belgium 12 months ago with his decision to depart his homeland proving the right call with his eye-catching displays leading to scouts keeping tabs on his performances. Nieuwsbald Sport state both the Ibrox side and the French big-hitters have both been regular visitors but would need to shell out a fee to land the stopper whose contract still has a number of years to run.

Micheal Beale has already stated a desire to shake things up but says any new recruits have to be the right players. He's also expressed how 'special' the Ibrox club is and that potential arrivals would be 'lucky' to pull on the shirt and represent Rangers. Dion Sanderson, currently on loan at Birmingham City from Wolves, is another name that has been linked with a move to Glasgow. Connor Goldson and Ben Davies, both fit again, have been the preferred duo under the new manager with Leon King in reserve. John Souttar and Filip Helander are both on the books but have been long-term absentees.

Speaking about transfers, Beale previously said: “I want to give things a shake, drag it forward, drive the standards.

“It’s a special club and we’re lucky to play here. Whoever we recruit is lucky to come here.

“The ones who leave will struggle to play for a bigger club, so I definitely want to get players in, but the right players. I want John Souttar fit, Ridvan Yilmaz, Ianis Hagi, Tom Lawrence, Kemar Roofe and Antonio Colak fit, that would be a start.

“If we can add two or three more, we could have a second team as good as the first team who were out there for this one.

“You have to earn your shirt. The last few weeks, some played regardless.”
