Award-winning historian William Dalrymple's 2019 book 'The Anarchy' will be adapted into a series soon. This will be 'an international co-production between Wiip and Roy Kapur Films to be produced across the U.S., U.K. and India,' reported Variety.
In 'The Anarchy', Dalrymple tells the story of how the Mughal Empre, which was one of the most magnificent empires in the world, got disintegrated and was replaced by the British East India Company. The latter was a dangerously unregulated private company, which was based miles away in a small office in London.
