It’s a question we can now ask officially after Tom Brady announced his retirement on Wednesday morning (“for good” this time, as he said, no unretiring now!): Will the GOAT participate at all in the Super Bowl 57 coverage of Eagles-Chiefs on FOX?
First off: We’ve reached out to FOX Sports to find out the answer and will update when we hear back.
Second: It’s a good question. Because back in 2022, Brady signed a reported 10-year, $375 million contract to join the network and call NFL games alongside their No. 1 play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt. He’d replace Greg Olsen, who’s been praised for his job after his own retirement from the NFL a few years ago.
This is me speculating: I can’t imagine FOX would put him into the booth right away for the biggest game of the year without a few reps, but what about getting on the air in the pregame?
People were wondering the same thing:
On to an NFL Mount Rushmore,
And a $375 million deal with Fox awaits.#Brady— Andrew Brandt (@AndrewBrandt) February 1, 2023
Everyone is gonna be focused on how great Brady is, blah blah, we all know, he's the GOAT, we say it all the time, we did this last year.
Here's what REALLY matters now:
Is Tom stepping right into the FOX booth? And if so, what happens to our king, Greg Olsen?

We may see the answer to this soon enough.
