In under a week we'll know whether there will be a Black Friday deal on a Disney Plus subscription. Though Black Friday itself is on Friday, November 29, most streaming services begin their deals a week prior to the big day, which could be any day now.
As you probably know, Disney Plus is the streaming home for Disney (well, in most regions, though in the US that honor is split several ways). It has Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, National Geographic, animated classics, plenty of Originals and a lot more.
It's one of the most subscribed-to streaming services in the world and while Black Friday deal might convince even mroe people to sign up, it seems unlikely that this'll happen, for reasons we'll get to below.
We can't rule out a Black Friday deal on Disney Plus though, especially because doing so would make this article too short to publish, so we'll also share some speculation.
After all Black Friday is still a few weeks out, and we could be surprised. So let's take a look as to whether there will be an Disney Plus deal over Black Friday, with some alternative options for people who'd love a deal.

Will there be a Black Friday deal on Disney Plus subscriptions?
In the past, Disney has offered reductions on the price of a subscription to Disney Plus over the fall season. However in 2023's Black Friday, Disney Plus didn't get a price cut, and I feel pretty confident saying that it won't in 2024 either.
Why's that? Well, it's because Disney just discounted the price of Disney Plus only recently. Throughout the latter half of September, you could sign up to the service's ad-enabled tier for just $1.99 / £1.99 for your first three months (usually $4.99 / £4.99).
This is the same deal that we saw last fall, and similar to the Black Friday one from the year before, but slowly Disney seems to be divorcing the deal from the Black Friday season.
We can't say for absolute certainty that there won't be another Disney Plus deal for Black Friday, but it seems very unlikely so soon after the September sale. However there will almost definitely still be a way to save money...
Will there be a Black Friday deal on Disney?
Whether or not Disney Plus itself gets a Black Friday deal, it's exceedingly likely that Disney itself will offer sales and discounts over the season on other products.
The Disney Store, and the company's Amazon store, have previously hosted sales so you can buy gifts or Christmas items for a reduced price. We'll launch some gift guides on those stores whenever the sales begin.
In addition other Disney streaming services, like Hulu and ESPN Plus, possibly will see Black Friday discounts based on precedent. So you'll still be able to save money and stream Disney videos.
When early Black Friday Disney deals begin, we'll highlight some that might pique your interest.
Other Black Friday deals to help you get Disney Plus
If the worst happens and Disney Plus doesn't get a Black Friday deal, that doesn't mean that you won't be able to get access to the streaming service through the sales. There are two key ways that this could happen:
Firstly, certain Hulu bundles let you get access to Disney Plus. The most likely will be Hulu with Live TV, Hulu's live TV streaming service, because subscribing to this also gives you access to Hulu's video-on-demand library, ESPN Plus and Disney Plus. Of course, this will cost you a lot more than simply signing up for Disney Plus, but you'll get access to cable channels too.
Another option is through mobile and cell deals, because many of these have Black Friday deals that consist of bundles. For example last year you could buy a Samsung phone and get a year of Disney Plus if you live in the US, and many UK mobile companies offer similar deals (with Apple TV Plus in particular a streaming service which gets offered a lot).
So another company might host a Black Friday deal which includes a Disney Plus subscription as part of its offering, though it won't just be on a subscription.
How much does Disney Plus cost?
When it's not on offer, how much do you need to pay to stream Disney Plus?
Disney Plus has two main plans: ad-enabled and ad-free. No prices for guessing what the difference is.
You can sign up for the ad-enabled plan for $9.99 / £4.99 per month or $99.99 per year (there's no option for this in the UK).
The ad-free plan costs $15.99 / £7.99 a month or $159.99 / £79.99 a year.
Is there a way to get free Disney Plus?
With the heyday of streaming trials over, you'd be forgiven for thinking that there's no way to get free Disney Plus.
There are ways, but they have limited audiences. A few different services and subscriptions offer free Disney Plus as a perk or bonus to something else. In the US and UK, many telecoms companies offer a limited Disney Plus subscription as an extra perk, and some supermarket subscriptions occasionally do too.
