It's a sad week for Derry Girls fans as the popular Channel 4 series is coming to an end after three series. The final episode of the award-winning sitcom will air on Tuesday, May 17, before an "encore" special episode airs on Wednesday, May 18.
The special episode is titled The Agreement and will focus on the Good Friday Agreement in 1998. Fans will return to Derry one year on, as the gang prepare for their final year in school and Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson) and Orla's (Louisa Harland) joint 18th birthday.
The extra episode was announced by writer and creator Lisa McGee earlier this month. She said: "Like all the very best 90s bands, I couldn't resist ending our farewell tour with an encore for our loyal fans."
