With the NFL trade deadline (Nov. 5) just over two weeks away, it will be worth monitoring if teams begin contacting the Denver Broncos about wide receiver Courtland Sutton.
One team in particular to keep an eye on is the Pittsburgh Steelers. NFL.com and The Athletic have both reported that Pittsburgh is interested in New York Jets receiver Mike Williams, which shows the Steelers are looking for a WR.
We also know that the Steelers showed interest in Sutton leading up to and during the 2024 NFL draft, but the Broncos opted not to trade him.
Now that Pittsburgh has turned the offense over to Russell Wilson, trading for the QB’s favorite target from 2023 would make sense for the Steelers. The question is, would Denver have any interest in parting with Sutton?
The Broncos have spurned trade interest from the Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens over the last two years. If Denver approaches the trade deadline with a winning record, it’s hard to imagine the team being willing to trade their No. 1 receiver.
With that said, Sutton is coming off the first zero-target game of his career and we know Pittsburgh has shown interest in the past. He will be a player to keep an eye on as the trade deadline draws closer.
