Throughout OTAs, Pittsburgh Steelers rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has been drawing rave reviews. The Steelers selected Porter with the No. 32 overall pick and most pundits considered him a bargain.
With all the positive press Porter has been getting, you have to wonder if he has done enough to beat out Levi Wallace for a spot in the starting lineup.
And that is our question of the day. When the dust settles on training camp and the preseason, will Porter be the Week 1 starter? At this point, it feels from the outside is there’s no way he can’t, which almost certainly means he won’t start.
Cast your vote and tell us if you think Porter will start. Not whether or not he should. Again, we don’t think head coach Mike Tomlin will push him out there as a starter right off the bat but will instead make him and Levi Wallace a rotation and give him a gradually heavier workload over the first few games until Porter takes over fully.
