Will Smith in trouble with Chris Rock's mum after infamous Oscars' slap

Never mind the Oscars Academy, now Will Smith really is in trouble... with Chris Rock’s mum.

The actor’s infamous slap has earned him a ticking-off from Rose Rock who doesn’t accept his apology.

“When Will slapped Chris, he slapped all of us, but he really slapped me,” she says. “When you hurt my child, you hurt me.”

Will hit Chris across the face during the Oscars ceremony, after the comic joked about the hair of the Men in Black star’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who suffers from alopecia.

Rose says she would like to ask Will: “What in the world were you thinking?’ Chris could have stepped back and fallen. You really could have gotten taken out in handcuffs.

“You didn’t think. You reacted to your wife giving you the side-eye, and she was bowled over laughing when it happened.”

Chris has yet to comment, saying he is still “processing” what happened. Will issued a statement the next day which included an apology to Chris – but Rose says he has not contacted her son directly.

She told US TV channel WIS: “I feel really bad that he never apologised. His people wrote up a piece and said, ‘I apologise to Chris Rock,’ but something like that is personal. You reach out.”

Will, who has been given a 10-year ban from the Oscars, is now spending time in Mumbai, India, where it has been suggested he is seeing a spiritual guru to discuss his anger issues.

Lizzo tickled pink

Lizzo was tickled pink to perform alongside Harry Styles at Coachella.

The 1D star, who must have been boiling in the Californian desert in this fluffy Gucci coat, invited the singer to perform his band’s hit What Makes You Beautiful. She praised him for being “a treasure” and “God’s gift to rock ’n’ roll”.
