Will Rob Havenstein play this week? Injury updates for Rams RT

The Los Angeles Rams have been without starting right tackle Rob Havenstein for the last two games after he suffered an ankle injury in Week 9. Joe Noteboom replaced him in Week 10 but it was Warren McClendon Jr. who filled in (and played well) against the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon.

Sean McVay shared an update on Havenstein during his media session Monday and it was a positive one. It sounds like Havenstein has a shot to return this week against the Eagles when the Rams host their 8-2 foes on Sunday Night Football.

Rob Havenstein injury update

McVay told reporters that Havenstein is trending in the right direction and there’s a chance he’ll play against Philadelphia.

“There’s a possibility. I think he’s trending in the right direction,” McVay said of Havenstein. “We’ll take it a day at a time. He’s one of those guys like we’ve talked about with some of these veterans, he really understands his body but I know he’s chomping at the bit to get back out there, and he is going to do everything in his power to do that. We just want to make sure that he’s ready to go, but he’s trending in that being a possibility.”

How long will Rob Havenstein be out?

Havenstein has been out for the last two weeks and has missed three total games this year, including the season opener. It’s unclear how much longer he’ll be out but there’s a possibility he’ll be back this week.

Noteboom missed Week 10 with an ankle injury, which was his first game back from injured reserve. McClendon filled in for Havenstein on Sunday and played well, allowing zero sacks or pressures.
