Will Power leads rain-affected Indy 500 practice at 227mph

After a lengthy rain delay, the Indy 500 field finally got on track just after 2:30pm EST. The circuit was made available to all teams, with drivers able to fit about three hours of practice into their day until a nearby lightning strike ended things about 30 minutes early. The next on-track action will be Tony Kanaan's veteran refresher test at 10am EST on Wednesday.

During the delay, we got a fairly humorous moment as Pato O'Ward was on hold (for over 40 minutes) with UPS, who were tasked with delivering his Indy 500 helmets, which got held up due to a dispute over custom fees. Thankfully, the issue was later resolved.
