Amid mounting speculation over a possible leadership change in Karnataka, the Congress on Wednesday sought to firmly shut down rumours of an imminent change at the top, with party General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala asserting that no decision has been taken on replacing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
“Currently, no meeting of the Legislature Party has been called and no decision has been taken yet,” Surjewala said, even as political chatter intensified following a series of high-level meetings involving the Congress leadership in New Delhi.
